HVAC Program
Workforce Career Center’s Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician Training Program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training needed to begin an entry-level HVAC technician career. Workforce Career Center’s HVAC classes teach students how to install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
The course also prepares students for two important certifications in the HVAC Field. The two certifications are the EPA Section 608 Certification for stationary air conditioning and refrigeration and the R-410A Certification.

About This Program
Workforce Career Center’s HVAC Training Program utilizes hands-on lab simulations to prepare students for work performed by HVAC technicians, HVAC service technicians, HVAC repair technicians, and apprentice mechanics in the field. Furthermore, upon completion of the program, students will be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
Additionally, students will receive training to safely work with and handle refrigerants and gain a thorough understanding of the common tools used in the HVAC trade.
Furthermore, the great thing about the program is that it prepares students for two important certifications: the EPA Section 608 Certification and the Universal R-410A Certification. Although these two certifications are not required to complete the program, they are very important for aspiring HVAC technicians.

An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technician is a person whose job is to ensure that indoor spaces (residential, commercial, industrial) are adequately cooled, heated, or ventilated. HVAC technicians design, install, test, and repair HVAC systems to ensure that they keep people cool during hot days, warm during cold days, and breathing clean quality air.
HVAC technicians install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Such systems are designed to control the temperature, air quality, and humidity in both commercial and residential buildings. You can complete the HVAC training program and receive a certificate of completion in as few as 10 months. Completing the program provides you with the opportunity to earn two important industry certifications: The Universal EPA Section 608 Certification for Stationary Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and the Universal R-410A Safety Training and Certification Program.

Graduates who have successfully completed the HVAC course received the training they need to begin an entry-level career in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning field installing and maintaining HVAC equipment. Our graduates have been able to obtain entry-level position titles that include HVAC technician, HVAC specialist, and Refrigeration Mechanic.
