Criminal Justice Diploma Program

WorkForce Career Centers Criminal Justice Diploma Program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and training needed for various entry-level criminal justice positions that include security officer, retail loss prevention officer, emergency dispatcher, private investigator, or store detective. Upon completion of the program, students will have gained a thorough understanding of the legal system in the United States and the operational standards found in various law enforcement and security agencies.

About This Program

The Criminal Justice Training Program provides graduates with a foundation in the various aspects of criminal justice, including the workings of the legal system, the different areas of law enforcement, security, and corrections. The program provides students a broad understanding of the criminal justice system and prepares them for positions in private security, investigations, corrections, loss prevention, and other related fields.

Professionals in the Criminal Justice Field assist in protecting the safety and security of individuals and the general public. This may include monitoring for possible security risks, de-escalating conflicts, and using physical tactics appropriately.

The Criminal Justice Program at UEI teaches students how various criminal justice agencies operate and their purpose in protecting the rights of individuals. Students will learn about private security, managing those accused of crimes, surveillance, criminal investigations, gangs, and verbal and non-verbal communication tactics

There are entry-level positions within the criminal justice field that do not require a college degree, and training from UEI’s criminal justice program can help you compete for these positions. The Criminal Justice program takes 10 months to complete and includes opportunities to practice skills in a hands-on environment.

UEI’s medical assistant program will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue entry-level employment opportunities such as a medical assistant. The following modules are taught to all of the students who enroll in our medical assistant training course:

  1. Administrative medical assisting duties
  2. Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology
  3. Office environment safety, infection control, and laboratory
  4. Psychology and special senses
  5. Medical management
  6. Clinical medical assisting duties
  7. Pharmacology and office emergencies
  8. Externship

Classes at UEI College are offered during the daytime or evening on a hybrid schedule. Students complete assignments and learn about new concepts through our online learning platform and come to campus twice a week to put new skills into practice.

Graduates of the Criminal Justice program may qualify for an entry-level position as a security officer, hotel or retail loss prevention officer, emergency dispatcher, private investigator employee, or retail security officer.

Medical assistant training can qualify you for jobs that involve working directly with doctors, nurses, and patients within medical offices, clinics, labs, hospitals, and so on. Some of the entry-level positions that our graduates have obtained include medical assistant, optometric technician, optometric assistant, medical office assistant, chiropractic assistant, ophthalmic technician, and clinical assistant.
