Our work provides stability to families that rely on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Vocational Rehabilitation and other federal, state, local and philanthropic programs that share in our commitment to holistically support families and communities.
In our Disability to Work programs, we serve individuals in receipt of TANF Cash Assistance who report having a mental or physical disability, focusing on their abilities while helping them address mental, physical and psycho-social challenges. We do this by first conducting a thorough clinical evaluation then guiding them to the right service based upon their functional capacity. This might include wellness services, vocational services or assistance in applying for SSI or SSDI through the Social Security Administration. Ultimately, our goal is to help our clients achieve employment goals, which is the greatest social determinant of long-term health.
